Who Made Your Clothes? | Meet Made

Meet Made (Mah-day) Yustini!  She is the main pattern maker at our factory in Bali!  When we first met her (almost 15 years ago!), she had no garment manufacturing experience.  We helped her through school so she could learn sewing and pattern making skills. Ever since, her and her husband have been the husband/wife duo behind our factory in Bali. Made is now our lead pattern maker and head of her household. She ensures that every piece truly comes to life and we are so happy she's part of our team!

When did you begin working for BEL KAZAN?

I began an interest in sewing in 2005 and have been working at BEL KAZAN for almost 15 years!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in the Karangasem Regency, which covers the east part of Bali.  I had to overcome many barriers to get to where I am now but I am so grateful for all my experiences to help shape who I am today.

What makes you happy?

I would say that making people happy makes me happy. I work hard in hopes that my family’s future will be secure. When I'm not at work, I stay at home with my children and I'm even able to work from home if necessary for my family's needs.

How would you describe yourself?

I would describe myself as a hard worker, spiritual, and grateful. Family means the world to me, as long as they are happy - I am happy.
