With every New Year, I like to reflect on the year prior & dream of the days to come. I believe it’s important to write down goals and aspirations so that ideas develop into tangible, real life experiences. 2019 is a big year for BEL KAZAN, we have been in business for 15 years! This year reminds us of how far we’ve come and how much further we dream of going. This year I am going to celebrate my achievements; I will not let fear get in the way of my true potential. I plan on growing BEL KAZAN into a brand that sets an example and standard for others towards what an ethical fashion line should look like. I will create beautiful, timeless pieces with minimal environmental impact and continue growing our team with people who believe in our vision. In 2019 I will be increasing BEL KAZAN’s give back program so that we can deepen our relationship with our communities. We'll begin by launching our first initiative with The Bali Children’s Foundation this year. This will be a great year of growth and giving and I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop along the way.

We are constantly inspired by the ethics Balinese people live with. Individual, striving to get ahead is not part of their culture. The grand ceremonies they delight in are an expression of communal cooperation. There’s a belief that community drives society forward in harmony and people take care of one another. This mentality is something we’ve adopted and made it our mission to help the Balinese community in any way we are able.

The Bali Children’s Foundation is a non-profit foundation located in Bali, Indonesia. They dedicate their work to helping children in Bali escape poverty through education. It costs $40/month to sponsor a child who is at high risk of dropping out because of financial struggles. Costs are the biggest barriers to these children completing their basic education. Costs include uniforms, shoes, materials, equipment, teacher fees, and building fees. The sponsorship for one child can help change the trajectory of one family’s future and positively influence the same family for generations. The cycle of poverty offers only limited opportunities and giving a child access to education means putting their future back in their hands regardless of the circumstances they were born into.  BCF helps over 2,100 children finish high school and improve their life & future.

We are teaming up with this incredible organization by donating a portion of our sales to help these underprivileged children. BCF helps thousands of children to finish school, to find employment, to improve their lives, and the life of their community. We want to keep as many kids in school as possible so that they can rise to their true potential and not allow the barriers of their circumstances hinder their future.

Our goal is to put 100 more Balinese children through school by the year 2024.
